11 Immune-Boosting Herbs

And here is what we  always used to have in our “natural medicine” cabinet:

  • Briar
  • Hawthorn
  • Leuzea
  • Aralia
  • Zamaniha
  • Lemongrass
  • Golden Root
  • Red Brush
  • Red root
  • Stonecrop
  • Rowan

Briar - immune system remedyHere are a couple of Briar recipes

Mix the following:
- 2 parts of each: briar, hawthorn hips, dandelion root, the root of Elecampane, and chicory root;
- 1 part of:  centaury, tansy flowers, Leonurus, celandine, peppermint;
- 3 parts of licorice;

Take 2-3 tablespoons of this minced mix, pour 0.5 liters of boiling water, and leave it over the night in a thermos. Take during the day, 100-150 ml, preferebly before a meal. This “tea” is very good for various liver disorders.

  • Mix 5 parts of hips, 3 parts of hawthorn, 3 parts of the Aronia fruit, 2 parts of the red rowan fruits, 3 parts of the raspberry leaf, 2 parts of the lime blossoms, 2 parts of the bergenia leaf, 1 part of mint grass, 2 parts of the tarragon herb and 1 part of thyme. Soak raw mix (2 tablespoons per 1 liter) in cold water for 2 hours. Quickly bring to a boil, pour into a thermos. This tea is helpful for pulmonary tuberculosis, cough, and adverse effects of medication.
